The Sunburn Club: Deltaburst + Ariez feat. Sidsel + DJ Montana

Lørdag den 7. februar 2015.

Aftenens første band er DeltaBurst som vil skabe rammerne for en unikke elektroniske oplevelse, hvor vildskaben, festen og tilstedeværelsen er i centrum. DeltaBurst drager inspiration fra bands som Justice, Daft Punk og Nirvana i en blanding af elektronisk disco-rock og grunge attitude. DeltaBurst handler om at kombinere ungdommens energi med noget nærværende i en fusion af elektroniske og analoge instrumenter, hvor musikerens følelser er tilstedeværende i strengenes knirken, selvom kernen er elektronisk disco rock.

Efterfølgende spiller en af de nye talenter indenfor dansk dubstep, Ariez. De spiller et energisk set af bas-fulde numre med opbakning fra den vidunderlige vokalist Sidsel, der helt sikkert vil få dig helt op og ringe.

Resten af aftenen sørger DJ Montana for underholdning med en blanding af breaks, house og tech.

10 year anniversary as dj at Sunburn Club

I have now been a resident dj at The Sunburn Club for ten years. Saturday the 16th of August 2014 I played at the 40th edition of the well established Sunburn Club. One of the oldest running electronic clubs in Denmark. This time there was a band from Copenhagen playing, Sekuoia. They played for one hour. Before and after there were djs, both outdoors and indoors. Thanks to Cafe von Hatten for hosting 40 electronic nights. Thanks to the dancefloor. And a big thank you to Matthew Took for booking me so many times.

SUNBURN: Decibel Level 2 release party

Vi fejrede udgivelsen af albummet “Decibel Level 2” der kom på gaden d. 23 juni, med et release party på Hatten.

Fra pressemeddelsen:
Sunburn’s egen DJ Montana går på scenen kl. 21 og indleder dermed festen. Efterfølgende vil en af de nye lovende talenter indenfor dansk dubstep Ariez slå sig løs og spille et energisk DJ-set. Derefter spiller Tomtek, som er en yderst dygtig og meget alsidig producer, der lever og ånder for funky beats og svedige basslines. Sidst men ikke mindst indtager aftenens hovednavn scenen og vil få taget til at lette.

Sunburn Club november 2013

Endnu engang spillede jeg til Sunburn Club på Cafe von Hatten i Randers. Ca. to en halv time. Denne gang var Linkoban fra København inviteret. De gav en koncert på en times tid og havde publikum i deres hule hånd. Stilen var grime-rap. Resten af tiden spillede M-2K og Dj Montana. Mest techno.

Sunburn Club, Randersugen August 2013

Jeg spillede endnu en gang til Sunburn Club. Jeg delte den udendørs scene med Søren og Jakob. Vi var lidt uheldig med vejret. Det regnede en lille smule. Men det generede heldigvis ikke publikum. Vi spillede fra kl. ca. 20 til 02. Det blev spillet musik lige fra dyb dub til dansetechno. Og på dansegulvet var der folk i alderen fra et år til ca. 50. Indenfor var der også småproblemer. Men det var med varme. Der var utrolig hedt på dansegulvet. Flere blev nødt til at danse i bar overkrop. De to bands forstod at få folk med. Alt i alt en god fest.

Sunburn Club nr. 32 Feb 2013

Så var der endnu engang Sunburn Club på den lukningstruede Cafe Von Hatten i Randers. Denne aften fik Sunburn Club besøg af SubYourself som fik deres debut på Hatten som så mange andre bands i tidens løb. De spillede en blanding af live dubstep, drum’n’bass og rap med masser af energi. Der var masser af folk hele aftenen og jeg spillede både før og efter Sub Yourself. I alt i fire timer. En special tak fra mig til DANSEGULVET.

DJ Montana mix from 2003 (techno)

I found an old mix that I made in 2003. There’s is no tracklist available. But I know the first track is – “Dub Be Good To Me”. Don’t let that scare you. The rest is more the real techno sound from ten years ago. Only other track I know is “Tanith – 1T – Bash Records”. 1T was what Tanith nicknamed the first loudspeaker system at Tresor nightclub in Berlin. It’s the seventh track in the mix. Leave a comment if you have any additions to the playlist. The mix consists of both cds and vinyls. Enjoy listening and play loud.

Sunburn Club 21. april 2012

Så var der endnu engang Sunburn Club på Von Hatten i Randers. Og sikke en fest det blev til. Super succes. Man kan bare ærgre sig over, at Hatten ikke har 5-bevilling, så vi kunne have fortsat festen et par timer mere.Aftenens band var Bottled in England fra København. De gav en rigtig god koncert og fik sat enormt gang i publikum, der gik helt i selvsving. Så selvom folk kom lidt sent, nåede de fleste heldivis at komme til drønet fra Bottled in England, som leverede en blanding af god gammeldags drum n’ base, dubstep og nogle lidt mere melodiske ting i drum n’ base genren. Min kommentar er: FUKT tag jer i agt. I har fået konkurrence. Som sædvanlig spillede jeg opvarmning sammen med Kasper.Mange tak til Hatten og en stor tak til publikum for at skabe en fed stemning.
